Arsenal is confident in outbidding Chelsea to sign West Ham United midfielder; Declan Rice,  will likely be available this summer, and Arsenal believes it can beat Chelsea to his services.
Jorginho was acquired by the Arsenal from the Blues during the most recent transfer window, but he is only seen as a temporary solution.

Rice has been named as the top target as they prepare to spend much on another star midfielder.

The Mirror has now claimed that the Arsenal are confident in their ability to defeat Chelsea in the battle for his services.

Rice undoubtedly has a close relationship with the Blues. Before they freed him, he attended their academy for eight years.

Despite this, Arsenal believes they are in the driver's seat given their championship defense and Champions League run.

After a lengthy absence of six seasons, the Gunners are just a few victories away from making their Champions League comeback.

Although they now lead Manchester City by eight points in the league, there is still much work to be done.
